Narrative
CIA agent Joe tries to balance his personal and professional life as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror. Real military advisors helped with weapons handling, house cleaning, location tracking, and more authentic execution of the squad. Reference: Premios Soberano (2024). I had to write a review because the writing, acting, and action are so good! I’m a reviewer and movie/show watcher who approaches things from the “glass half-full theory”.
Amazing acting, dialogue, action!
This means that I look at the positives first, then the negatives. I either like it or I don’t. There’s always a middle ground. "Lion" is not only far from average, it has it all! Zoe Saldana is sexy and beautiful, and like her boss, played by Nicole Kidman, they are both stupid women in American espionage and the military.
Both were top-notch
Both are about America’s defense against global terrorism. What’s also helpful for the viewer is that even though it’s a cable TV series (Paramount), it’s a big-budget film. The production team doesn’t skimp on the budget, the production value is streamlined, practical, and flawless. As I mentioned in the title, it has “24” and “Columbiana” in it! Remember the TV show and the movie?
It works well for me
I don’t mind family issues and teenage drama. As a parent, I get it. I keep thinking the terrorists are going to get to Joe’s (Zoe Saldana) family. (I hope not, but I could see it happening.) I obviously haven’t finished the series yet. And I don’t even have to write this review.
“Lion” is very good and I highly recommend it
This is one of the first reviews I’ve done and I have no problem with the content. My other reviews of past classics and well done movies/TV shows are obvious. I haven’t checked but I really want a second season of "Lion"!!!
